Anxiety Disorders and Parkinson’s Disease: A Psychoeducational Intervention for Caregivers

Abstract
This study experimentally tested the effectiveness of a psychoeducational intervention at improving Parkinson’s Disease caregivers’ knowledge of anxiety disorders, attitudes towards treatment, and reducing anxiety-specific stigma. Results indicated this intervention effectively improved knowledge, but more research is needed to identify ways to impact stigma and treatment attitudes.
