Using the Expert-Novice Paradigm to Design Posters/Flyers That Motivate and Direct the Public to Adhere to Covid-19 Health Messaging

Abstract
Covid-19 requires posters/flyers to translate information that the public understands and is motivated to follow health messages. Alternative posters were developed based on analogies from cigarette picture warning labels and the expert-novice paradigm. The posters differed in the presence of expert-type vocabulary and lung appearance (healthy versus “ground glass” look).
