Abstract
Participants read either divisive (business vs. non-business majors all holding opposing opinions) or non-divisive (mixed opinions across identities) coverage of a fabricated crime, then indicated how biased they perceived the coverage to be. Students in the divisive condition saw the coverage as more biased than those in the non-divisive condition.
