Does Self-Compassion Buffer Against PDA-Related Stigma Consciousness in Predicting Positive LGBTQ Identity and Well-Being?

Given sexual minority stigma, PDAs within same-sex relationships remain taboo. Our research will examine how awareness of sexual minority stigma influences whether a person recalls a positive or adverse past PDA experience, and whether self-compassion protects against the negative effects of such stigma in predicting positive LGBTQ identity and well-being.
