Abstract
Research supported a new psychosocial model of STEM engagement, including STEM identity, academic self-efficacy, STEM interest and sense of belonging. The study showed that academic self-efficacy was a direct predictor of STEM GPA, and STEM identity, STEM interest, and sense of belonging were indirect predictors of STEM GPA through self-efficacy.
