Young and Older Adults Are More Alike in Multisensory Detection Than Multisensory Associative Recognition

This study investigated young and older adults’ memory for multisensory associations, and whether memory performance is predicted by multisensory detection in a simple perceptual task. Associative memory did not correlate with gains in multisensory RTs; however, novel age differences were found in memory for related versus unrelated multisensory pairs.
