Abstract

We tested if safety versus fear learning would reduce anxiety-related overgeneralized fear (OGF) and proposed that anxiety sensitivity would moderate this association. Findings demonstrate that those with low anxiety sensitivity benefit from safety learning in reducing OGF, but not fear learning, highlighting a unique role of safety learning in anxiety.
