Abstract

Although sustained attention has been studied extensively, inconsistent findings exist regarding how stress modulates attentional performance. This study investigates how anticipated psychosocial stress impacts sustained attention in a sample of healthy participants. The results suggest that stress anticipation may impair sustained attention performance based on individual stress appraisal.
