Identifying the Most Important Beliefs about Getting Enough Sleep: Improved Mood, Health Benefits, Family Influence, and Time Management

Abstract
We conducted a reasoned action elicitation and follow-up validation studies identifying behavioral, normative, and control beliefs about allowing time for 8+ hours of sleep. Most important were beliefs about mood, health, family, work, and time management. These beliefs should be targeted in interventions to increase sleep duration.
Sleep
