Abstract
In previous work, people who hid personal information were judged negatively, even compared to those who revealed negative information. But do visual cues moderate the hiding penalty? We hypothesize that hiding photographs elicits more negative judgments, even compared to sharing unattractive photographs, and that attractiveness dampens the hiding penalty.
