Is Early Executive Functioning Stable?

Abstract

This longitudinal study uses a battery of executive function (EF) tasks across a large age range, from 24 to 62 months. We find no evidence for stability of EF during the toddler years, nor from infancy to childhood. Implications for the construct validity of early EF are discussed.
