The Association of Emotional Urgency with Internalizing and Externalizing Disorders: The Mediator Role of Emotion Regulation Deficits

We investigated whether different types of emotion regulation (ER) difficulties mediate the relation of emotional urgency (EU) with anxiety, depression, and smartphone addiction. Results revealed that the facets of ER difficulties mediated the association of EU with depression and anxiety but not smartphone addiction when age and gender were controlled.
