Abstract
A diagnosis of anorexia nervosa is associated with stigma. We found preliminary evidence that being female and knowing someone with an eating disorder might be associated with a reduction in such stigmatized beliefs. Our proposed research will explore the extent to which different labels and participant characteristics predict stigmatized beliefs.
