Abstract
Faculty turnover is an issue across universities. Some faculty write ‘quit lit’ explaining why they quit. The present study analyzed a corpus of ‘quit lit’ to understand why faculty left. Despite positive sentiment in language used, faculty left due to issues in organizational satisfaction, campus governance, and teaching time.
