Abstract

Higher intolerance of uncertainty, defined as a dispositional fear of the unknown, was associated with more fear of healthcare settings, but not desire for testing, in United States residents surveyed in May 2020. However, the relationship with fear of leaving the home was stronger, suggesting a general tendency toward avoidance.
