Social Axioms and Personal Autonomy: Social Beliefs Influence on Personal Autonomy at Work

Personal autonomy development is influenced by social context (Ryan & Deci, 2001). The aim of this study was to investigate how social axioms influences self-esteem, locus of control and self-determination in organization. 35% of self-esteem variation, 18% of locus of control, 16% of self-determination is explained by social axioms.
