87.4% of hand hygiene (HH) compliance was reported from the Hong Kong (HK) public hospitals, which higher than the overall world compliance (38.7%). The motivations of HH behaviour formation were examined under the theory of planned behaviour which is expected to illustrate the high percentage of HH compliance in HK.
