Decreasing Stress with Writing Exercises

Abstract
The present study examines the effects of an expressive writing intervention in 39 college students at Fordham University with the aim of improving academic performance by decreasing stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms. No significant effects of the intervention were found, but results support increased stress and anxiety in URM students.
