Developmental Processes in Social Functioning of Women with and without Childhood ADHD: Adolescent Social Skills As Central Link

Abstract
For both women with and without childhood ADHD, positive parenting practices and positive peer relationships in childhood appear to cultivate the development of prosocial skills in adolescence. We present relevant longitudinal data, concluding that successful acquisition of these skills are vital for building healthy interpersonal relationships in young adulthood.
