Health Misconceptions Are More Likely to be Corrected If Refuted Immediately Than If Refuted after a Delay

Little work has examined the impact of feedback timing on the likelihood of revising misconceptions. The current study found that health-related misconceptions refuted immediately after participants incorrectly answered a true/false question were more likely to be corrected on a later test than were misconceptions refuted after a delay.
