Traditional and Social Media Consumption, Post-Traumatic Stress and Anxiety during the COVID-19 Pandemic

We examined traditional and social media use during the COVID-19 pandemic, and trust in media as predictors of post-traumatic stress (PTS) and anxiety. More media consumption predicted higher PTS and anxiety. Women reported greater PTS and anxiety. Social media use predicted greater anxiety only for those with low trust.
