Abstract
This study will experimentally test how different rapport-building techniques affect children’s willingness to disclose a transgression to an unfamiliar interviewer. We hypothesize that rapport-building will result in earlier, more accurate disclosures, and that shy children will benefit more than sociable children from rapport techniques.
