Abstract

This study sought to better understand the role of emotion regulation deficits in gambling behavior. A survey assessed frequency and type of gambling behavior and emotion regulation difficulties. The findings suggest that cognitive reappraisal help people gamble in moderation and emotion regulation difficulties guide gambling experiences on various dimensions.
