Abstract

The current study aimed to assess the impaired disengagement framework as the mechanism by which dysfunctional sleep increases suicide risk. Results demonstrated a short-term longitudinal impact of poor sleep on endorsement of suicide ideation six months later as mediated by depressive brooding rumination but not objectively assessed executive function.
