Laughter and Learning: Effect of Humor on Memory

Humor is defined as a cognitive shift from an initial framing of a concept to another which is different, but equally appropriate, leading to felt amusement. There exist mixed results regarding the effect of humor to enhance memory. The proposed research will examine mechanisms by which humor enhances memory consolidation.
