Abstract
In this pre-registered clinical trial, forty-eight individuals with depression were given genetic or no-genetic feedback about their depression. No significant effects of the manipulation were found on brain activity or self-reported measures of perceived treatment efficacy, indicating direct relationships between biogenetic messages and outcomes may be smaller than once thought
