Abstract

This study investigated if self-compassion mediates the relationship between perfectionism and satisfaction with life. Results show that maladaptive perfectionism exerted an indirect influence on satisfaction with life through self-compassion. Additionally, adaptive perfectionism was directly associated with perceived satisfaction with life.
