Impact of Sensitivity to Uncertain Threat on the Association between Social Anxiety and Coping Motives for Alcohol Use in Young Adults

This study examined whether sensitivity to uncertain threat impacts the relationship between social anxiety symptoms and coping motives for alcohol use in young adults. Increased reactivity to U-threat and social anxiety interacted to influence coping with anxiety, but not depression or social, motives for drinking alcohol among early drinkers.
