Abstract
This study compared pandemic-related stress to politics-related stress at two points in time (before and after the 2020 US election). Participants directed fewer coping efforts toward politics-related stress than pandemic-related stress. Although stress decreased over time, the coping strategies used were not significant predictors of change in stress level.
