Secondary School Mathematical Subjective Task Values Predict Attainment of a Physical Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Technology University Degree

Abstract
Our study examined how adolescent mathematics self-concept of ability (SCA) and subjective task value (STV) explained attainment of mathematics-intensive (PMET) or life science (LS) degrees versus non-STEM, and whether motivational processes differed for women and men. Only STV predicted attainment for PMET, but not LS degrees.
