Abstract

Across three experiments, we investigated how Transfer Appropriate Processing (TAP) influences the effect of repetition priming on memory and truth assessments by manipulating the match/mismatch of processing operations between encoding and test phases. Results show that matching processing operations at both phases influences memory but not truth assessments.
