Abstract

Participants completed 10 moral dilemmas involving a friend, coworker, or stranger. Results showed friends were more likely to be confronted, but not reported. Secure attachment correlated with helping strangers and reporting coworkers. Ambivalent and avoidant styles predicted confrontation of strangers, reporting of friends, and a lower probability of helping friends.
