Abstract

This study examined the role of positive emotions in predicting coping and interpersonal resources in emerging adults. Positive emotions demonstrated significant incremental validity over negative emotions in predicting adaptive coping and engagement with peers, faculty, and the university community. These results highlight positive affect as an important component of well-being.
