Abstract

Fifty-four firefighter recruits completed measures of occupational stress, religious lifestyle, and post-traumatic growth after completing three years of fire service. Among firefighters, increased levels of religiosity strengthened the relationship between occupational stress and dimensions of post-traumatic growth, specifically personal strength and ability to perceive new possibilities.
