Burnout, Self-Efficacy, and Coping Strategies Among College Faculty

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine if coping strategies and self-efficacy are useful for decreasing burnout in university faculty. Results indicate that research and non-research universities experience burnout similarly to medical professionals. Additionally, approach-based coping strategies were useful in decreasing burnout, but avoidance-based coping strategies increase burnout.
