Digital Emotion Contagion or Comparison? the Moderating Role of Perceived Authenticity on Instagram.

Abstract
The current study investigates the content people perceive on Instagram as the key to affecting their mood. Although participants perceive target mood is higher than their mood, the correlation between these two variables is highly positive. Importantly, we discovered perceived authenticity could be the moderating role that affects perceivers’ mood.
