Abstract

This study examined whether viewing oneself (“self-view”) during an online lecture increased self-awareness and decreased learning. Self-view did not increase anxiety or reduce test performance, suggesting that it may not impact learning from a short lecture. These findings have important implications for the relationship between anxiety and online learning.
