Abstract
Infant grey matter volume (GMV) appears sensitive to adequate interaction with the caregiver. Maternal withdrawal at 4 months, but not other interactive difficulties, was associated with lower GMV assessed between 4 and 24 months. Withdrawal did not interact with age, with the relation evident across the first two years.
