Abstract

This study investigated the correlation between teen drug use and caregiver behavior during childhood. Undergraduate students were asked about their caregivers and their past drug use. Caregiver respect and support were most highly (negatively) correlated with common drug use (e.g., alcohol, marijuana) and hard drug use (e.g., opiates, hallucinogens).
