Abstract
This study examined the transactional relationship between parental invalidation and emotional vulnerability as outlined in the biosocial theory in a longitudinal study involving 332 Singaporean adolescents. Analyses revealed significant positive cross-lagged associations between parental invalidation and emotional vulnerability between the second and third timepoints of three biannual assessments.
