Abstract
Many studies imply a relationship between self-awareness and prosocial behavior but fail to account for self-presentational concerns. Our original study design manipulated self-awareness and reduced experimenter demands. Results from our Bayesian model indicated that participants in the self-awareness condition were more prosocial that the control condition.
