Mindfulness Trait Mediates between Schizotypy and Hallucinatory Experiences

Abstract

The relationship between high schizotypy and hallucinatory experiences could be explained by mindfulness trait and stress. Our preregistered online survey tested this hypothetical model. Results showed that facets of mindfulness trait (i.e., observing, acting with awareness, and non-judging), but not the stress, mediated the relationship between schizotypy and hallucinatory experiences.
