Abstract

The months leading up to the November 2020 U.S. election was a time of heightened fear, anxiety, and unrest (e.g., COVID-19, BLM protests, and extreme political divisiveness). We examined empathic concern, emotional contagion, and political affiliation in relation to concerns about various political issues, including concerns about the election.
