Modeling the Subjectivity of Human Olfaction and Its Variability

Here, we aimed to build a model of subjective olfactory experience by combining semi-guided interviews and exploratory data-mining. We identified main categories, but salient descriptors differed across individuals and odors. These findings encourage researchers to take into account subjective data for a better understanding of olfactory perception with its diversity.
