Abstract

We used a Theil-Sen nonparametric regression to examine the effect of cognitive avoidance on the emotional counting Stroop (ECS) interference effect in a sample of 151 Spanish-speaking young adults. We found a direct and significant effect of cognitive avoidance on the ECS interference effect, b=0.24, bootstrap 95% CI [0.03, 0.25].
