Number-of-Translation Norms for English-Japanese Translation Pairs

We collected number-of-translation norms for 562 English-Japanese translation pairs, of which 70.6% were found to be translation ambiguous. Our norms were correlated with norms collected for Dutch, German, and Mandarin Chinese, of which our norms had the highest proportion of ambiguity. Future studies can utilize our norms as controls.
