Abstract

In a longitudinal study, we examined whether individuals’ pre-pandemic intolerance of uncertainty predicted poor coping strategies and internalizing symptoms at two time points during the COVID-19 pandemic. Higher pre-pandemic intolerance of uncertainty predicted increases in disengagement coping and internalizing symptoms during the pandemic.
