Abstract
The study explored connections between mothers’, adolescents’, and friends’ perceptions of sibling-friend relationships in adolescence through questionnaires. Results showed relationship partners were more conscious of conflict and asymmetry than mothers. Inter-rater correlations were strongest for intimacy. The synchronicity between mothers’ perceptions and their children’s relationships varied depending on measured aspects.
