Abstract
Using a radial maze game, we found that the allocentric spatial information processing ability of the 9-12-yrs old Chinese rural children was significantly better than that of the age-matched urban children, suggesting that environment plays an important in the development of allocentric strategy for navigation during the middle childhood.
