Abstract
Past research has examined stable personality trait effects on voice, attitudes, and behavior. We proposed voice as a mechanism underlying relationships between malleable factors and outcomes. Voice instrumentality (N = 277) had an indirect effect through voice on four of the five outcomes examined. Psychological safety had no indirect effects.
